Song: Comin' In Piles (Extended Version featuring B-1 and Mayhem Lauren)
Year: 2013
Album: Hustle Don't Stop
This was one of my favourite albums from last year because it took me back to the 1992 Hip Hop sound.
Artist: Ghostface Killah
Song: Clips
Year: 2008
Album: The Wallabee Champ
Ghostface Killah has a great ear for music, he always rhymes over the best breaks.
Artist: Dorothy Ashby
Song: Drink
Year: 1970
Album: The Rubaiyat Of Dorothy Ashby
I liked this album so much, I went out and bought its inspiration, the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. He was a poet who liked to write about the pleasures of the grape. He liked his wine.
Neek The Exotic used the one-bar loop from 0:02 and repeated it three times and then followed it with the one-bar sample from 0:05. Ghostface Killah used the same two samples but also threw in the "Yesterday....." sample from 0:13.
