Rapper Big Pooh - Between The Lines (2004) sampled The Fatback Band - Baby Doll (1973)

Artist:  Rapper Big Pooh
Song:  Between The Lines
Year:  2004
Album:  Sleepers

I give up 9th Wonder, you're a genius.  I can't figure out this beat fully, the flutes are difficult to recreate.  Another masterful production by Harvard Professor 9th Wonder.

Artist:  The Fatback Band
Song:  Baby Doll
Year:  1973
Album:  People Music

I dig the singing in this song, it makes for great vocal samples.

Rapper Big Pooh rhymes over 4-bar loops made up of many samples pieced together.

During the verse, you hear many flute samples from 0:27 to 1:07.  One of which is at 0:47 and another at 1:04.  At the 3 and 11 beats is a vocal sample "oh oh oh oh" from 5:39.

During the intro and chorus, more vocal samples.  "Love you" from 1:31.  "Honey I love you" from 1:30.  "Cause" from 1:54.  "My Love" from 2:37.

Roc C - Open Wounds (2011) sampled Lovesmith - Shame On You (1981)

Artist:  Roc C
Song:  Open Wounds
Year:  2011
Album:  Stoned Genius

This guy sounds like an Emcee from Toronto named Contagious Theory from the group Pherenziks (with DJ Grouch).  This song is a great piece of production using many samples.

Artist:  OC & AG
Song:  God's Gift
Year:  2009
Album:  Oasis

I have always been a big D.I.T.C. fan.  O.C. and A.G. are O.G.s.

Artist:  Lovesmith
Song:  Shame On You
Year:  1981
Album:  Lovesmith

Roc C used the four-bar sample from 0:01 throughout the song but occasionally changed the sample.  Sometimes the last four beats are the sample from 0:24.  Sometimes the last two beats are the sample from 0:38.  There are also two singing samples blended in.  "What's wrong with you, why won't you talk to me" is from 0:27.  "You say you're through, no more love for you" is from 0:53.

O.C. & A.G. used the same sample from 0:01 but repeat the first half three times and the second half once.  They also change the last bar of the four bars to the sample at 0:24.  Also used thorughout the song is the sample from 0:00.
